Events of Note:
- Members begin receiving postcards in the mail, announcing each month's meeting.
- April 23rd saw a presentation given by Jeffrey Patrick of the National Park Service. Pictures of the event are available here, here, here, and here.
- On May 14th, a Genealogy Research Trip to Springfield MO was taken. Eight members of the Society participated, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
- On July 9th, Keith Trolinger, Choctaw Indian descendant, made a special presentation on tracing Indian ancestry. Pictures of attendees are here and here.
- The July meeting marked the Fifth anniversary of the BCGS. It was marked by a celebration, complete with cake and ice cream. Founding President Dee Burr was also presented with a copy of the Red Book.
